The central idea is transition, both presence and absence.  Specifically, light emerging from and disappearing into darkness. Samantha utilised pleated chiffon, which resembles undulating waves. Through experiments, she created folds that fade into an almost indiscernible ghostly image.

Her crisp, high-fidelity prints are formed from glossy, resinous Sakura ink, where the kiss of ink sits proudly on the surface of the smooth Stonehenge paper. The book consists of a continuous running motif of folded pleated fabric, leading the reader from the ghostly image into the centre fold. The juncture between the two sets of bilateral prints forms a mirror image of its content. On the reverse side of the concertina folds is the dawn meditation.
